Airbus A330 - the plane of firm Airbus intended for average and distant distances, equipped with two turbofan engines. First flight A330 has taken place on November, 1st, 1992 in version A330-300.
As of June, 30th, 2006 it has been ordered 574 Airbus A330, and 420 cars have been transferred. Distribution by variants of model the following: 322 (227 it is put) for A330-200 and 252 (191 is put) for A330-300. Models A340-300 and A330-300 are identical, except number of motors (two for A330, four for A340). All variants A330 are completed with motors Pratt and Whitney, Rolls-Royce or General Electric. The newest model is A330-300X, which in many details (for example range of flight) is improved version A330-300.
