Ilyushin Il-2M3 (Shturmovik). This aircraft flew again after 70 years at Novosibirsk, Russia on September, 27th 2011. She was restored to fly by specialist firm Retro Avia Tech for Paul Allen's Flying Heritage Collection. It is powered by an Allison V-1710 engine, rather than the scarce Mikulin AM-38 of the original. The rebuild incorporated the remains of an aircraft recovered from marshes. It is painted to represent the aircraft of twice-awarded Hero of the Soviet Union Air Marshal Alexander Yefimov of the 198th Air Regiment.
