The developers of Microsoft Flight Simulator X: Accseleration have undeservedly neglected this wonderful legendary multi-purpose aircraft, allocating only two short game missions for it - landing accuracy and bombing accuracy; meanwhile, this baby is capable of something more than flying in circles in the area of the airfield. In particular, at the dawn of the formation of postal aviation, it was the Piper J-3 that delivered 110 pounds of mail literally to the door of the post office, which was facilitated by its excellent takeoff and landing characteristics and pilot experience, and its four-cylinder piston engine, designed almost a hundred years ago, successfully survived several generations of jet engines, easy to repair and unpretentious to the quality of the fuel; in particular, it successfully works on modern motor gasoline, perceiving it as native. The obvious disadvantages of the Piper J-3 Cub include only the difficulty of landing (it must be landed strictly against the wind, because the landing gear is not designed to stabilize the aircraft on the runway in a crosswind), the insufficient equipment of the radio complex (I corrected this by replacing the standard radio with a more modern ) and gluttony of the engine (this is also fixed by replacing the carburetor and ignition system); as a result, the upgraded Piper J-3 Cub can now be tracked by controllers by transponder code and is guaranteed to fly to a range of 480 kilometers (300 miles), giving the pilot the pleasure of FLYING in calm air.
Installation is traditionally simple: remove the original Piper_J-3 folder from the SimOdjects/Airplanes folder and replace it with the folder from this archive. May all your landings be successful!
