The program on working out of planes for lines of the big extent A330/A340 has been begun in June, 1987 to press Boeing from dominating positions in the market of passenger planes of distant action. Originally planned versions 200 and 300 were practically identical: both models were with identical wings, fuselages, management and only the quantity of motors distinguished models. Such decision has allowed to reduce, on the one hand, expenses on plane working out, and with another, has simplified and has reduced expenses for airlines at operation and maintenance service of planes. As a basis for working out was case Airbus A300 which is taken has been made more long. The cabin (cockpit) has been made similar to cabin A320. Thus, turned out the plane was a mix from technical innovations of series Airbus A320 with a fuselage from A300/A310.
