These are 2 different versions of a disassembler program for FS scenery files. BglAnalyze9 is for FS 9, BglAnalyze X for FS X.
Where there are differences between the scenery files of both versions of FS, the programs will recognize if your are using the
wrong program.
In both versions only those scenery files can be disassembled which can be recompiled with the BglComp compiler from the FS SDK.
If you try to recompile a disassembled FS X scenery file with the BglComp for FS 9, you will be confronted with a number of error
messages, because the FS X scenery files have a number of features which were not existing in FS 9.
The disassembled scenery files should not be used for any illegitimate purposes. Please be aware of the fact that scenery files from MS
or from any other company or from private designers are copyrighted. So you should be careful to avoid any infringements of the copyright
of others if you use the disassembled code for any other purpose than to study how scenery design has been done. So never try to make money
by stealing the intellectual property of others!
Both programs have been converted to console programs, so you can either start them from a DOS window or you can just drop the
name of a bgl file on to the name of the program in Explorer. If you start the program with just the name of the bgl file in the
comand line (or by dropping that name onto it in the Explorer) the result will be a file with the same name and an .xml extension.
If you add a second file name to the command line that will be the output file.
These programs are distributed free of charge, but the author reserves the copyright for them. They should not be included in any commercial product
without the written permission of the author. The author does not accept any responsibility for any possible bugs in the programs,
their use is completely on your own risk. Especially I would like to warn all users to make backup copies of the original scenery files
if they want to replace them with files obtained by disassembling and recompiling.
