URRP Rostov-on-Don Platov airport for FSX
Platov airport has been build prior to the soccer world championchip were Rostov-on-Don hosts some of the matches. It opened in December 2017.
The airport was named after Matvei Ivanovich Platov, a General of the Don Cossacks who fought in the war against the napoleonic invaders.
Differences to the real world airport:
Some Comm frequencies were slightly changed since they are still in use with the old Rostov airport (URRR):
Ground: 119.05 instead of 119.0
Tower: 119.75 instead of 119.7
Approach: 128.25 instead of 128.2
ADE does not allow letters for gate/ramp dasignators, so 4A is 401, 4B is 402; 10A is 101, 10B is 102; 32A is 321, and 33A is 331.
To the separated stand No. 43 has been assigned.
Callsign files for use with EditVoicepack (precious freeware by Lars Mшllebjerg) are included.
This scenery was created using Airport Design Editor X (ADE9X) on the basis of free accessible airport charts, Google Maps and other internet sources.
My simulator is FSX Professional Edition and the scenery is tested only on this. If you want to and have opportunity to transfer it to other versions, I also can provide the development file (ad2-format).
The airport ist suited for AI traffic.
INSTALLATION:
-unzip file
-copy the unzipped Folder to your FSX Addon Scenery folder
-start FSX
-register scenery (Settings => Scenery Library => Add Area => navigate into the corresponding folder => OK [+rightklick into the navigation area, due to a FSX bug...])
alternatively:
-close FSX if active
-copy bgl-files to your FSX Addon Scenery/Scenery folder; no need to register, the scenery will be recognized automatically at the next start of FSX
The Scenery consists of the following files:
XXXX.bgl: contains the airport (except for buildings)
XXXX_CVX.bgl: exclude file for the original FSX-airport/scenery
XXXX_OBJ.bgl: contains the (autogen) buildings
LEGAL:
This scenery is freeware. It may not be included into commercial products, also not parts of it.
Also do not upload this or any modified version to a site requiring payment for access or download.
There is no warranty for any harm this scenery should do on your computer.
Beyond this, please feel free to change, correct or improve whatever you like.
