Description: A fully compiled set of SID/STARS for FSNavigator 4.7
A set of documentation files.
Explanation: FSNavigator stopped providing terminal procedure updates (SID/STARS) over 18 months ago.
This has left a huge void for many simmers who may have struggled to create
realistic flight plans with relatively accurate procedure files. An effort has been
made by Toni Paulsen and others to update these terminal procedures. Unfortunately,
documentation is in German, and requires some skill with several utilities to correctly
update the SID/STARS. My release is a stress-free release. This means you just extract,
overwrite, and go fly! My release includes all previous updates!
Features: Updated SID/STARS for most major airports of France, Spain, Italy, Morocco, Tunisia, and Germany.
Most SID/STARS for the above countries are current to within the last 6 months.
I will be updating major US airports soon. For now this file will whet your appetite!
Intent: The intent of this package is to extend the immense value and enjoyment that simmers
have found with the FSNavigator product. Currently I do not have the resources to make
sure a thousand airports have accurate as published procedures, but I do aim to improve
on the 18 month stagnation of your SID/STARS.
Installation: 1. The target of our modification will be the FSNavigator SidStar folder.
2. By default this is located at ...\Flight Simulator 9\Modules\FSNavigator
3. Backup the entire SidStar folder and move it someplace safe.
4. Unzip FSNavSS0811.zip to ...\Flight Simulator 9\Modules\FSNavigator
5. You can overwrite all file conflicts as my release includes all previous updates.
Notes: This is a compilation release. This means that the SID/STARS have been compiled from a number
of current sources with only modest checks for realism. Please let me know if you find something
really problematic, and I'll see if I can help solve it.
