This is a 2D Panel tuned for the Captain Sim's 757-200. This package includes 2D panel with cockpit views, 2D panel coupled with the Virtual Cockpit model and panel configs with and without the Reality XP Sandel 3400 and WRX 500 Weather Radar gauges.
Panel includes original photoreal bitmaps, full operating AP and IFR capability, Overhead, Pedestal, Gear lever, GPS 500, Radar, Davtron Timer, Sandel and Weather Radar subpanels.

This panel edition is not meant to replace the futur CS 2D panel under devellopment but merely provide us simmers and 757 lovers a good flying platform that can make us enjoy the beautifull exterior model and great flight handling of this CS 757.

This panel was develloped and tuned for the CS 757 and may be used with any CS 757 blocks. For obvious copyright reasons none of the CS original material and/or gauges and bitmaps are included in this present package.

Although you may use this panel with any B757/767 it will perform best with the Captain Sim 757-200

Finaly, we would like to thank (its never enough) all the fantastic gauge designers that make all these panel layouts possible... without them we would have to flight the dull and unreal original ones.... with a special reference to Richard Probost for his fantasticaly real looking Boeing type gauges, thank you again, all you guys!!




Ok! now let's get on with the instalation:

Unzip all the contents of the zip files to a temporary folder

You'll end with a 757 the following folders:

- 757 NO RXP Radar + Sandel, 
- 757 panel RXP Radar + Sandel, 
- fs9 root folder with the folders:
	- effects
	- gauge
	- modules
	- sound
	- to fs9 root
- Instruction Docs

Inside of the "757 panel NO RXP Radar + Sandel" folder, you'll find several folders:
A "panel" folder containing all the bitmap files needed for the final config
and 3 other forlders containing different panel configurations that can be used with different levels of aircraft model.

panel CGF for CS-757 2D lat views - A full 2D panel and side views to bw used with the 2D model (BlockA or B in the 2D panel only mode)

panel CGF for CS-757 VC lat views - An Hibrid panel. that means we merged both this 2D panel along with the original VC panel, to be used with the VC mode model (BlockB)

panel CGF for Generic 757 - a normal panel config to be used wuth other 757 than the Captain Sim 757-200.

After making your choice of which panel to use, Copy & Paste or Drag & Drop or Move the desired panel.cfg file to the panel folder. and then this last folder in to your CS 757-200 (remember to perform the usual backup in your original panel folder, or simply change it's name to. let's say "panel.org" before moving the new panel folder in to your CS 757-200 main folder)

Inside of the "757 panel RXP Radar + Sandel" folder, you'll find several folders:
A "panel" folder containing all the bitmap files needed for the final config
and 3 other forlders containing different panel configurations that can be used with different levels of aircraft model.
these panel configurations feature the Payware Reality XP WRX 500 Weather Radar and Sandel 3400 Gauges configs. You must own these gauges sets in order to use these configurations.

After making your choice of which panel to use, Copy & Paste or Drag & Drop or Move the desired panel.cfg file to the panel folder. and then this last folder in to your CS 757-200 (remember to perform the usual backup in your original panel folder, or simply change it's name to. let's say "panel.org" before moving the new panel folder in to your CS 757-200 main folder)




Done for the panel....... now the gauges:

1- You should first copy all the CS gauges enclosed in the original CS 757 panel folder and drop them inside the main FS9 gauges folder.
2- Copy & Paste or Drag & Drop or Move the gauge's folder contents to your FS9 Main gauges folder, overwrite when prompted.(Do not unzip the cab files enclosed in the gauges folder... they work like that, and do not extract gauges from folders enclosed in the zip main gauges folder,  they work like that also.)


Going on with the work:

Now, Copy & Paste or Drag & Drop or Move the sound's folder contents to your FS9 Main sound folder, no need to overwrite when prompted.

Now, Copy & Paste or Drag & Drop or Move the effects's folder contents to your FS9 Main effects folder, no need to overwrite when prompted.

Copy & Paste or Drag & Drop or Move the module's folder contents (FSsound.DLL and SOARRec.dll) (it seems that SOARRec.dll is sometimes unnecessary so, you can try not installing it at first) to your FS9 Main modules folder. Do not overwrite if prompted, your version might be newer than this one.




Finally, to avoid recieving an error box when loading FS9 you should add this little something to your FS9.config file after doing the usual backup for safety;

For the Windows 2000 you should find the main FS9 config file under the path:

C\Documents and settings\Administrator\Application Data\Microsoft\Fs9.config

for the windows XP users, the path should be:

Drive_Letter:\Documents and Settings\User_Name\Application Data\Microsoft\FS9. 
This is a hidden folder by default so you need to modify the folder options via the control panel: go to the view tab and check the "Show hidden files and folders" option 


Open the file with notepad and add the following lines to it's very beggining

[OLDMODULES]
FSsound.dll=1
SOARRec.dll=1

Save and close




Now, the aircraft config file modifications....
Once I also thought it to be a big deal... well, it's not and it goes like this:

1- make a backup copy of your original CS 757-200  "aircraft.cfg" file
2- open your CS 757-200 or whatever aircraft you are using this panel with.... and find the aircraft.cfg file. Make a backup! don't forget...
3- open the "aircraft.cfg" file with notepad

3- find the [Lights] entry and add the following lines right below the last light entry:

light.11 = 7, -19.81,  61.97,  5.50, fx_FURY_wingtip
light.12 = 7, -19.81, -61.97,  5.50, fx_FURY_wingtip


4- Find the  (effects) entry and right below this entry, add a line and paste the following section:

[SMOKESYSTEM]
smoke.1=-4.500, -5.583, 24.1, SMOKE_JT8D
smoke.2=-4.500, -5.583, -24.1, SMOKE_JT8D 
smoke.3=-4.500, -5.583, 24.1, fx_F14_ControlledHeat , // Eng2 heat, when throttle > 10%  
smoke.4=-4.500, -5.583, -24.1, fx_F14_ControlledHeat , // Eng1 heat, when throttle > 10%  

This will add autosmoke and enginne heat to your jet engines


5- Find the (radios) entry and replace it by:

[Radios]
// Radio Type = availiable, standby frequency, has glide slope
Audio.1       = 1
Com.1         = 1, 1
Com.2         = 1, 1
Nav.1         = 1, 1, 1
Nav.2         = 1, 1, 0
Adf.1         = 1

save and close...




Almost there.... now, just the final detail, new FS9 gauges use a special DLL file in order to add sound already enclosed in the gauge code.....

In the fs9 main folder you'll find the "to fs9 root" folder with a DLL file called "GaugeSound.dll" Copy & Paste or Drag & Drop or Move this file to your FS9 root directory, no need to overwrite if prompted unless the suplied DLL is more recent then yours.



Finnaly, for the TCAS gauge operation, there's a TCAS Readme file for that.
