FS2002 PRO Panel for LET L-410

This is a simple panel to enable Viktor Schact's LET L-410 to be flown in FS2002.  I do not know Viktor (yet) and so I hope he likes it! The bitmap is based on an amalgamation of panel views - from various places - of various LET L-410 aircraft.  This rig uses standard FS2002 Professional gauges, so don't bother looking for a 'gauges' folder!  

The LET L-410 has long been a favourite of mine but the only one I had ever found was an FS5 model by Dennis Wasnich, circa 1998, which I duly converted for FS2002 anyway, using Bartlomiej Florczak's very basic FS98 panel.  I have found no others. I tried to persuade one or two people much cleverer than me to model the L-410 for FS2002, but to no avail.  Imagine my delight, therefore, when Viktor's FS2002 AI version, with FDE by George Sokhykh, appeared on the scene in April 2003.  The file name is L410ai.zip (1157KB) and there are already many repaints for the aircraft in the flightsim libraries.  

This panel, then, is for that aircraft to enable it to be flown first-hand in FS2002.  

INSTALLATION:

Unzip LETPANEL.ZIP to a temporary folder if you have not done so already.  The folder LETPANEL will be created.  Within it, you'll find a PANEL folder; just drop this PANEL folder into your LET L-410 aircraft folder under FS2002/AIRCRAFT; there is none there by default.  Do what you want with the screenshots and this readme. You can then delete the empty folder LETPANEL.

All else is already in place.  There are no gauges to install as I purposely followed Viktor's lead by keeping this panel very frame-rate friendly; not all of us have 3.0GB leviathans on our desk.  Besides which, digging out all the necessary Eastern European turboprop gauges from my collection would have taken an age and necessitated a number of permissions; I simply don't have the time.

The AI airfile is flyable but needs a soft touch!  

This is very much Version I of this panel.  If anyone would like to take the time to model the panel in more detail or add cockpit views, basing your work on this bitmap, you have my permission without further consultation, as long as my original is credited.  I have left the original gauge pictures in place, so that you can review a typical L-410 layout by looking at the bitmap on its own.  Note, however, that I have never seen two LET panels the same.  There are thousands of these aircraft all over the world.

Have fun!  Let me know if you find anything that doesn't work on the panel, or better still, fix it!  Just don't moan at me, this is freeware. Oh yes ... this panel may not be uploaded in any commercial package or used in any shape or form where nasty grubby money changes hands.  If I find it on a disk anywhere or skulking around on Ebay for a fiver I shall hit the culprit on the head with a very large wet fish.
